I can't believe it's almost time

Wow!  Next Friday we will be heading to Atlanta for DragonCon.. I almost can't believe it.  I haven't been putting my costume progress photos here in the blog as I decided to post them to a Facebook account instead.  They were just easier to share from there.
They are here, for anyone who would like to see, though: http://facebook.com/crowshade (Feel free to add that profile if you want! :)

Friday: I finished the White Queen costume with no problems, but I've decided I might like to add a mouse.  So if I can make it a tiny little red outfit in time, the Dormouse will be with me, hehe.

Saturday: I finished the Corpse Bride costume.  Finally!  I have been planning for it for so long that I pretty much already had everything on hand that I needed to complete it.  It was just a matter of doing the work.  I can't believe I waited so long to start on it, but I almost hadn't planned on doing it this year.  But once the pressure was on I focused and got 'er done! :D  Complete with the maggot.

Sunday:  The plan was for Avatar but I am just not there yet.  Again with all the planning though: I think it just needed some time and effort to get hammered out.  I still have to finish the beaded top and do the loincloth, AND we have to either stripe my Zentai suit or just order the commercial suit (With the bodypaint on my hands, feet, neck and face, it would actually be quite fine).  So this is still entirely possible.

Or I could wear an old costume - Sally.  I have a new wig I didn't have before, and would blue my skin this time finally, to do it right.  Don't know why I didn't before, just had too much to deal with really and was glad to be done as it was :) But being the darned perfectionist that I am, I just can't let it go out like that.  Well, I decided to try and buy another bodysuit so I can put the stitches on it instead of worrying with those over the paint.  Who knows if it'll get here in time, on Thursday so I can put those on it the night before (AHHH!).  If not I could still wear this with blue paint, no biggie!

So I have options.  But since I am done with the rest, even though I ordered the Sally blue suit, I am going to go ahead and finish working on the Avatar costume with my remaining time.  Who knows, perhaps I will get it done?  Then I will really have options. :)  If I do manage it, I can always just save Finished Sally for the next convention!  The suit will *not* be a waste, at any rate.

David has finished the improvements for his Devil costume, and Tallahassee as well, complete with bloody banjo and Twinkies! I stitched him up a gun holster for his modified gun; plus, he got the boots, belt, and a great #3 buckle.  For Sunday, he got a really nice hooded cloak, though he can't decide which thing to do with it yet!
