Update

I haven't had a lot to blog about lately, because I've been busy both with crocheting/knitting, as well as at Ravelry!

Plus I've suddenly decided that I needed to take up sewing, so I could make a couple of costumes. One is for DragonCon, and the secod is going to be for a Renaissance festival.

#1 is this pattern. It is actually almost complete. I had to make a few adjustments... a) because this is the first time I have sewed from a pattern, and b) because I am smaller than the pattern, LOL. Next I gotta decide on the trim work, and buy and attach that.
This costume is being designed after a game character (World of Warcraft - Warlock) so I want it to have certain specifics! Due to the back lacing, and the slight train in back, it's already way different, but it doesn't have to be 100% perfect... I mean, seriously... who would notice, right?

- It'll be trimmed in gold cord, and black/gold trim - probably this:

#2 is this pattern. I bought a sufficient amount of sky blue gauze

and plan to get to work as soon as I finish up the back lacing on #1. :D I might need this in less than a month, so I'm anxious to get started. But I wanted to finish the project I'd started first, so that I had at least a little experience under my belt, to make it easier. I would have started this one first if I had the material first, but alas, I did not.
- It'll be trimmed in gold/silver/white.
